I Work With Individuals, Couples, & Families
Hello! I’m Anna
MPS, LPC, LMHC, CPCS
In 2000, I received a Master’s in Professional Studies of Human Relations from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. I have had over 20 years experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Florida and Georgia. As a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, I offer education and supervision to interns and master’s level clinicians.
I have worked with diverse demographics and have used a variety of treatment modalities. In 2013, I was invited to extensively train and serve as a DSM-5 Field Trials Collaborating Investigator to assist in the refinement of the NEW DSM-5 diagnostic manual. This year I have been invited back for the new 2020 refinements. The DSM-5® is the only manual used by health professionals to diagnose and classify mental disorders, and is the product of more than 10 years of effort by hundreds of international experts in all aspects of mental health. As a result, I provide a thorough diagnosis and prepare a collaborative treatment plan.
I look forward to assisting you and your family with finding successful outcomes to your difficulties. I believe each individual, with the help of their support system, has the answers within. I will empower and guide you to find your own resolve. I believe the answers lie in the “why” of behavior, not simply coping strategies, as most therapist offer. My therapeutic strategy stems from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. My therapeutic team and I incorporate whole body wellness based on individual need.
