Our experiences in life greatly effect who we become and how we behave. I believe that once a person is able to understand who they are and how they became, they are free and have the power to engage in life with less distress. Through the self, we find power. My focus is creating a safe and inviting space for you to discover more about the self and what you need to reach your goals.

In my office you can expect to be seen as the expert of your story, you have lived every moment of your life and I am hear to listen to you. I am client centered and want to meet you where you are. My role is to teach you how to accept all parts of yourself fully so you can continue to evolve instead of staying stuck.

I earned my education in Psychology and Family Studies at The University of North Alabama. My Marriage and Family Therapist training was completed at The University of Alabama. I experience working with clients as individuals in addition to couple and family units. My specialties include working with couples and families struggling with relationship conflict, differing personalities, and communication issues. In addition, my experience lies in working with individuals and families presenting with anxiety and depression, collegiate issues, general stress/unhappiness, as well as mood and personality disorders. I value and teach clients to have compassion, understanding, and acceptance for the self to gain the freedom to live a life true to you. I look forward to hearing your story.

I am under the direction and supervision of Anna Moriarty, MPS, LPC, LMHC, CPCS.
